At this time in my life, I was spending significant days in wilderness or natural kingdoms.  These included: on a hilltop outside of Springfield, VT, charged with a living energy current of the Earth, which held a vortex under what could have been a great gathering Oak on the side of the hill, facing the spine of the Green Mountains; in a crystalline charged vortex of energy within a canyon sanctuary, which an elder had guided me to, and, which holds key signatures of wisdom of the ancients buried in stone; on either of the Three Mountains which were more and more becoming Grandfathers to me; in the Stone Chambers of Calendar I and II sites in Vermont, (and, eventually, others,) which are intensely charged with the living energies of the Holy Beings and Wisdom Keepers of the sites, who were opening the gateways to deeper and deeper mysteries, revealing to me, and to the groups who accompanied me, profound understanding of our relationship to the Cosmos.  There were many sites like these, that, I would explore every moment I could spare, while raising two kids alone, as well.  On any given weekend, any time my kids might be away, I’d go and hike one of the mountains, camp on its side or base for the night, then hike it again the next day before rushing home to greet them as they arrived.  I, slowly, developed ever deepening relationship and kinship with the Spirits of these Mountains and other sacred places I was constantly visiting.  The riches they brought me were beyond words.  And, it would take years of experience and research before I could bring any form of ‘complete’ understanding to the experiences.  Though, as I say this, decades later, the profound richness and depths of those experiences continue to emerge, as we continue to work cohesively and intentionally in collaboration with the Living Beings of these places, as well as those of the Celestial realms whom regularly appear to us and guide the work.  The potency of experience is, simply, beyond words.  But, my intent, here, is to share some of it with you, in ways that may have meaning for you, and help us all to understand that there is a rich tapestry of profound energies available to each of us, in the places we know and love, in or close to our own homes.  We do not have to journey to Egypt, Peru, Stonehenge, Teotihuaca, or any of the great cathedrals of wisdom of the world, to tap into those wonders.  They are right here.  In our own back yards.  The Earth, in her natural kingdom, charges exquisite places with exquisite energies.  Find the ones which call to you.  And, if they are ancestral ceremonial sites, the very beings who founded those places, utilize the same qualities of understanding we can utilize to gain access to the highest states of wisdom, should we learn right approach.  Often, they remain present, tangible in the subtle worlds, and with Right Approach, we can access direct communion with them, and with Right Attitude, perhaps be blessed with the incredible wisdom they carry.

Right Approach.

By this I mean, our attitude, intentions, and the very core essence of who we are as spiritual beings will define the relationship of our experience in any natural or human made sacred site, and the energies present or available there.  It is who we are, what we bring, how clear we can be, and how in harmony with higher purpose we resonate, as we approach these sacred places, in alignment with some very basic principles of ‘introduction’ to the Spirits of the Place.
Let us think of it this way. 
Let us imagine we are coming into a cathedral of another cultures’ wisdom, a living temple, one being utilized today, and the priests and guardians and community of beings who worship there, are all in a mix about the grounds of this place.  Do I walk in, unannounced, go to the high altar, and begin to perform a ceremony not in alignment with that culture’s spiritual understanding?  I might, in the kindest of ways, be escorted out to the streets, asked to leave, and never return.  That would be the one of the kindest of possibilities.  Perhaps, in a really kind community, I might be asked to join the congregation, and observe, but probably be on notice, if I engage in any inappropriate further behavior, then asked to the street.  In some places, I can imagine the outcome could be a little more drastic.  Let’s say, for instance, I walked right up to the Temple Mound in Jerusalem and started a ceremony from another culture, chanting and burning sage….  I frankly, am not so sure I would be looked upon with the kindest of favors, if I was even allowed in the door, much less, all the way to the high altar.
So, hopefully, the point is taken.
If I am entering a sacred place, and especially, if I understand that there are living beings in the subtle worlds who reside there, some charged with holding the integrity of the place, (Guardians,) some, charged with keeping sealed the gateways to knowledge infused there for future generations, at the time that culture founded this sacred place (Wisdom Keepers,) whether this is a natural temple complex of wood, water, earth, and stone, or one built with human intention and intervention, with the infusion of ages of ceremony, prayer and worship in its halls, then it behooves me, that I introduce myself, engage with the Living Energies of the place, and ask explicit permission to work there, as well as defining in some form, the nature or intent of the work I bring forward, as well as my intent of what I would do with all experience and knowledge gained from that practice.
This has been a key component of my own work.  And, this understanding has allowed me to enter, sight unseen, many sacred and holy places of the world, in high communion and harmony with the original energies of the site, and the current Living Beings whom reside there.  There are explicit, though simple methodologies I use in this ‘Right Approach.’  It has proven very effective.
I bring this to your attention, because it is beneficial to understand how the mysteries that are being revealed to us are collaborating with us.  Part of it is who we are, and what we bring, from our inherent essence as a spiritual being, but a large part of it is learning to attune harmoniously to the states of energy we encounter in these sacred sites, and enter Right Relationship with them.  Learning that ability to attune, to acclimate, to the harmonious environ, through all subtle dimensions available, in each sacred site, is of utmost importance to this work, again, whether it is in your own back yard, or the pyramids at Giza.
Right Relationship is considered a hallmark of living in the world, from the perspective of basically every sacred culture on the planet, but explicitly spoken of, and taught, in indigenous cultures.  The Q’ero people of Peru, whom I have spoken extensively of before, teach explicit methodology for this, as well.  And, they state, it is and shall be the catalyst for the collective awakening of this “Time of Meeting Ourselves Again,” as they call this time of the Great Shift for us, planetarily, the “Taripay Pacha,”  when enough of us entering Right Relationship with the Living Energies of the Cosmos.  This is what will turn the key, collectively, when we understand, and, experience, viscerally, the Living Cosmos, and develop Right Relationship with it.

We are in the midst of the throes of that great realization now.  And, what is happening to us, right here, in New England, is part of that Great Awakening.  We are engaged in it.  We are being guided to re-awaken, to re-affirm, to re-seed what the Guides call “The Creative Matrix of Heaven on Earth.”  And, those living energies of the kingdoms of Earth and Sky, are collaborating with us, immensely.

The Three Brothers

So, on one of my journeys to Mt Mansfield, the tallest mountain of Vermont, one of these three Grandfathers, I traversed its high trails till I reached the mountaintop.  I would, often, time my journeys to these mountain crests, where, at least on my descent, I could partake of the extraordinary beauties of skyfall, sunset.  Mansfield is a great resource for this.  You can drive up a toll road on the mountain, park near the top, and have an exquisite hour long hike across its face without extraordinary stress.  (Some do it much quicker.  I take my time with prayers, meditations, ceremonies, reflection, and entering ‘Right Approach’ at key thresholds and vortices on the mountain.  It is still revealing sacred spots to me, to work with even more coherently.)
The mountain top is mostly above tree line, in an alpine environ, so you are having richly beautiful panoramas of the entire backbone of the Green Mountains, north and south, across the Greens to the White Mountains of New Hampshire to the east, and across the great valley with Lake Champlain, and the Adirondacks of New York, towering to the west.  The sun is slowly sinking in the western sky, enlivening the lake with diamond crystals, charging the atmosphere with pure light, above the mayhem of lower atmospheres.  The higher one gets on mountain crests, the more pure and pristine the atmosphere becomes, and the electromagnetic charge, visceral and subtle, becomes more and more immense, enlivening ones’ cells and perceptions with key, clear insight and vision, and pure feeling states.  It is a natural high worth partaking every chance one can get.  And, at this time in my life, that is exactly what I was doing.
Also, by reaching the summit near sunset, the vast majority of tourists and trail guides are gone.  There may be a few lingering, but much of the show is left to you, alone.  So there are no distracting noises or commotion, allowing you to sink into deeper resonant states of harmony.  It is totally you and the kingdoms of Nature.  A few were there as I crested the crown on this venture.  But, they slowly left one by one, and two by two.  Yet, even before they were gone, I had already begun my prayers of communion and gratitude.  I faced east, and buried my head very near the actual point of the mountaintop, on pure rock.  I began a prayer communion with the mountain, which had been taught me by a stone.  Yes, a stone taught me a simple method of connecting to the living consciousness of stone.  I have used it ever since, and taught it to dozens, if not hundreds of people.  It is very effective.
I buried my head in the stone, and began a communion with Grandfather Mansfield.  I believe this was the first time I had topped the mountain since I had the incident mentioned in the last chapter of this story, where the three Grandfathers came to me to teach me how to connect with and channel them better.  I was in deep reverence, gratitude, and communion.  Suddenly, the Grandfather presented a crystal clear image to me, of the three mountains, in a perfect equilateral relationship.  It was as if, now, I was staring at a 3D, real time GoogleEarth image of the landscape, with the outline of an equilateral triangle expressed between the three mountain crests, Mansfield, Washington, and Ascutney.
I was stunned, and shot straight up with a gasp.  I found myself staring at Mt Washington in exactly the alignment the Grandfather had just shown me in this image through his mind.  I gasped again, and my head, of its own accord, shot 120˚ to the right.  I was staring right at, 80 miles in the distance, the faint shadow of Mt Ascutney on the horizon.  The most distant mountain visible in this direction (the same was true with Mt Washington.)  I gasped again, and had a sudden and complete realization of a meaningful relationship between these three mountains, that I had not yet understood.  It was visceral, not cognitive, and it took me some time to put it together.  Indeed, we are still experiencing deeper understanding of this relationship to this day, as we continue to enliven our relationships with these three Living Beings.

I then, suddenly had another realization.  I had been studying about my local village in our village library.  I live in a historical house, with the remains of the earliest mills of the region on my property.  These create exquisite cascading falls through the remnants of their dams.  The waters of Mt Ascutney cascade down from spring fed brooks, through a series of falls, and here, pass through a small gorge where dams and mills were made.  When one approaches the remains of one great stone dam, made with very large granite boulders mined on the foot of Mt Ascutney, it is like walking into an ancient stone cathedral ruin.  Only, the walls are the sides of the gorge, with the dam creating a third wall, half of it fallen, and the waters cascading through that breach, and down into quiescent pools beneath it.  It is one of my favorite places for reflection, or bathing in the crystalline waters of the region, in deep prayer and communion with the Living Waters of the Earth, and the Mountain, but, also, of the Ancestral prayer communions taught me by the Q’ero elders.

In the local historians’ accounts, there were many references to the Mountain, which the village of Ascutney had been named after.  Among those accounts, were references to geological information.  To my surprise, up until some 60 million years ago, Ascutney had been a super volcano.  They believed it might have been as high as 27,000’, now whittled by eons and glaciers to a mere 3200’.  Its last eruption threw debris as far as the Carolinas.  (They apparently can map the stone by its exacting features, like a fingerprint of the mountain.)  And, the book I was reading gave two different derivations to the name “Ascutney.”  Depending on the time period of record, later colonials understood the meaning of the word to be, something like, “the place where people gathered at the end of one river, where it met another.”  They assumed this referred to a fishing village, across the Connecticut River from the village, where the Sugar River of Claremont, NH, eddies into the Connecticut.  This village was not discovered until the 1960’s, when a new highway bridge was being put in.  However, earlier colonials heard a different etymology to the word.  Apparently, how the word is pronounced, gives different meaning.  The earlier derivation was, “The Three Brothers.”  At first, I had thought perhaps this was referring to three apparent ridgelines and crests you can see of the mountain, from a particular angle across the river. 

Perhaps this was what they meant.  I now, however, had distinct reason, through these two very close chronological experiences, to imagine the ancient ones had direct understanding of this more explicit relationship these three great Grandfathers of the region had, directly with each other.  For, as I have shared, pretty much all indigenous cultures (at least of the Americas,) believe, in mountainous areas, that there are distinct beings residing in the mountains, or, who are, the ‘spirit of the mountain,’ what the Peruvians call the Apus.  These special mountains are seen as overseers of the region, who look after the well-being of the people and all living things of the region, and whom the ancient peoples have always revered, and honored in deep and abiding relationship.  Indeed, in the Peruvian mysteries, the Apus are the highest intermediaries between the heavenly realms and the earth planes.  And, they are prayed to, and engaged with, for all aspects of healing and greater relationship with the Earth and Cosmos.  They are vital, living beings, who are regularly engaged in one’s life and work as allies, guides, guardians, and teachers.

I understood the impact of this, as these “Three Brothers” had now come alive for me.  And, they have become just that, in a great body of work unfolding right here in North America, the “Seeding of the Matrix of Heaven on Earth,” in collaboration with their living spirits, the spirits of three lakes also in equal relationship, the ancestral spirits of these sacred places we have discovered and honor and work with regularly, and the Living Wisdom Keepers and other allies and teachers of the Celestial and Earthly realms who come through the portals of illumination available to us through these many sacred sites.

But what of the dragon, and dragon currents I am speaking of!?
Patience, my dear one.  The story is unfolding.

A Return to Beauty

As I passed off the mountain, I was in high states of jubilation, ecstasy, and gratitude.  I walked off the mountain as the sun was setting, enlivening every color and hue available in the mountains, forests, lakes, rivers, meadows, fields, and sky and clouds about me.  Every color and hue was alive.  The sun, itself, was magnificent.  The winds were speaking to me.  The wispy clouds racing by me almost just overhead, were whispering exquisite songs of praise.  It was an extraordinary, ecstatic experience.  I was in grace, and deep gratitude.  I was singing a song of thanks to every living being I could see or name, and every living thing in my fields of perception.

I was climbing down one natural stairway of stones on the side of the mountain along the main trail,   when, in my experience, the embodied spirit of the Earth Mother came, stood next to me, and pushed me down to my knees.  She rested there with me for a moment, till I caught my breath, and humbled myself duly to her presence.  I took a moment to make sense that this was real, just as she said to me, “Everything you see, you are as beautiful.”  She rested with me another moment, then left.

This took me to an entirely new level of understanding and perception.  It cut right to the chaste of any residual feelings of low self-worth or esteem that I might hold, any issues of bodily vanity or non-belief of my own beauty and worthiness.  It cut right to the core of every belief I had that was not worthy to stand up to the Mother of all Creation, as expressed through the body and being of Gaia herself, and say, “You are beautiful!”  “I am beautiful.”
Coming from the voice of the Mother, how could I not accept this precious gift of understanding?  That I am as beautiful as everything I see.  Here, in this moment of profound beauty, expressing great and joyous gratitude for the beauty of all things around me, and why was I not including this expression of Self?  Why was it all outside of me?  Why was I not worthy of the same inkling of gratitude?  She put it all right before me.

And, I had to accept this gift.  I allowed the wisdom to sink into me.

Thank you, precious Mother.

It was, as many of you can imagine, a deeply moving and life altering moment.

This became core to the teachings of what we now call, “Return to Beauty.”  This is a Dineh (Navajo) expression of the pathway to healing, the “Return to Beauty,” to understand that all things, around and within me, are beautiful, and an equal part of Creation.  This has been integral to this body of work, since.

The next few months I began integrating this experience at deeper and deeper levels.

The Living Field:  A Prayer Wheel

One afternoon I took off to go up and commune with Mt Ascutney.  There is such pristine beauty witnessed each time one enters the beautiful natural stone temples and libraries which are part of its body.  I often go to the peak while I am there.  There are many stone formations, and stone outcroppings, with views up to 180˚ of the horizon stretching before us.  The summit, itself, is crested in trees.  But, it has a former ranger fire observatory tower on it, which can be climbed for even more stunning 360˚ views.  I climbed the tower after my practices on the mountain, for a moment of reflection and acknowledgement of the Three Brothers.  It was the first time I could see all three of them since this whole experience had unfolded.  Off, to the northwest, as far as one could see, was the outline of Mt Mansfield, and, similarly, to the northeast, the Presidential Range with Mt Washington visible.  (In Algonquin, it is Agiocochook, the ‘Home of the Great Spirit.’)  I was acknowledging the mountains, when I saw before me, in the landscape and rising into the atmosphere, a great swirling tube torus, stretching out between the mountains.  I was more than a little stunned, as I had done nothing to enter any special states of perception.  There it was.  The mountains made known they wanted me to be aware of this Living Energetic Field, a special vortex, and that there would be  work to do surrounding it.  The Tube Torus is the living field of conscious energy which is the foundation of all life, and surrounds every living thing as an electromagnetic field.  This is true of atoms, planets, stars, and apparently, as science is even beginning to see, galaxies, and in all probability, the entire universe.  It is the Sri Yantra in motion, the star tetrahedron of Egyptian and Jewish Merkaba, the Star of David, the wheel of life in Native traditions, in its multidimensional form.  I did not understand all I was looking at, in that moment, or why, but I absorbed its intelligent wisdom, and reverentially honored the experience as one of growing numbers of experiences in nature teaching me to interact with the intelligences there, in richer and more vital ways.

Over time, it became clear to me there were bodies of water which fed into this system.  The consorts of the male principles of mountain, one might say.  I began investigating, and found the work of Peter Champoux and others, whom had mapped, dowsed, and geomanced the geometries of the region, and elsewhere on the globe.  However, no one had embodied a pure star tetrahedron in the geographic vicinity of this complex of mountains.  And, from prior work with Intelligent Earth Energies, ancestral, celestial and star nation allies, I knew this was key to the toroidal field of energy I had witnessed.  Over time, I discovered and developed relationships with three key components of this system, three bodies of water, which held the principals of the Divine Feminine to balance the Masculine Principles of the mountains.  These pristine lakes would feed, and nourish, this living system of energy, as the other components of elemental consciousness began to awaken and enliven relations with us.

As it turns out, none of us knew which lakes were part of this living energy system.

As we began to decipher the lakes, and enter more conscious and coherent relationship with them, the system opened up with new and vigorous revelational experiences.

What happened next was beyond any of our imaginations.

We enter relationship with each energy, as well as the ancestral, star, earth and celestial guides and allies working with us in this practice.
It is a profoundly moving and transformative experience for each person whom has ever joined with us in it.  But, it is the Earth and Cosmos calling us, to enter integral relationships with the elements of nature, earth and sky, and seed this “Pure Matrix of Heaven on Earth,” with our collaborative prayers and intentions.  It requires our human intervention.

In LIONSGATE:  Awakening the Dragon, we shall enter pristine natural and ancient ceremonial sites every day, bathe in exquisite mountain lakes, and waterfalls, and, hike the high peaks of Vermont and New Hampshire, which form a perfect Star Tetrahedron.  Don’t be too concerned, we do not do so much climbing, and really, not that much hiking, see our itinerary and logistics for explanations of such things.)  We pamper ourselves in the evenings with great lodging and meals in prestigious retreats and inns, wherever possible.  And, we ‘seed’ the potential of ‘heaven on earth’ into a living prayer wheel created through our work, in collaboration with the elemental forces of nature, and the high holy beings guiding our work.  It is a journey of great personal discovery, empowerment, rejuvenation, and healing which we experience, followed by an act of incredible service to the planet, as called upon, by these elemental beings, drawing upon the dragon currents of living energies which carry the power of our work from all dimensional spaces we have worked in, for the entire week, into the womb of the Mother, through one of the ceremonial chambers, to gestate these seeds of potential, for the benefit of All.

This is one of a series of articles which are intended to be educational in nature, as well as provide simple sharings of my life experience.  Of growing importance, of that, to share, is how we can enter valued and nurturing relationships with the elements of the Earth and Sky in our own 'back yard.'

[On Aug 16-23 we will perform ceremonies which comprise the “LIONSGATE:  Awakening the Dragon” program in Northern New England.  These practices are the culmination of my life’s work with the Living Energies of the Earth, and Cosmos, to this time.  They bring together a remarkable union of indigenous teachings of North and South America, as well as collaborations with many others I have worked with, yet, have evolved into far more.  The participants learn explicit practices for self-empowerment, but, equally, are called upon to engage with the Living Energies of the Earth and Sky in pristine energy and awareness exercises, to awaken and harmonize these precious energies and our relationship with them, which are replenishing to ourselves, and, the Earth.   (And more--read on!)]
