Zacciah Blackburn, PhD is a gifted intuitive, teacher, and sound healer, trained in classical healing and shamanic traditions, and sacred sound cultures.  He teaches internationally, and practices in Vermont, USA, at the Center of Light Institute of Sound Healing and Shamanic Studies.  Zacciah shares authentic trainings in the nature of human consciousness, explorations into the Shamanic worlds of Earth Energies & awareness, and teachings on the nature of sound, and sacred sound practices, as a therapeutic healing modality.  His in depth understanding provides life transforming experiences into the authentic nature, being, and wellness of who we are as spiritual beings.  He is Director of Education at the International Sound Healing Network, & co-founder & Director of the World Sound Healing and All One Now Network of organizations working for global peace.  He also offers musical instruments of sacred sound cultures, & sound healing tools, as well as expert advice on their use, at www.sunreed.com.  See his primary web site www.thecenteroflight.net for further information.

Sound is a powerful force.  When used conscientiously, it can channel and manifest our intentions, create states of wellness and healing, open gateways into the deeper mysteries of life, and the Cosmos, and attenuate us to our own higher purpose, ideals, and nature.  It can be utilized to create expansive states of awareness of who we are, and our relationship to the Cosmos.
In this hour long presentation, Zacciah will articulate and demonstrate that Power of Sound as a healing, expressive, and manifesting tool for our wholeness and well being.  His experiential practices can be utilized in service to our own spiritual evolution, as well as, to assist others by integrating them into one’s professional therapeutic practices.  Time permitting, he will demonstrate both simple therapeutic techniques, as well as classical in depth meditative tools with sound.

Judi Byron, harpist, musician, teacher and performer brings her love of all things musical with her compassion and desire to see people function in wholeness and wellness.

As a Certified Therapeutic Harp Practitioner (CHTP) and Vibroacoustic Harp Therapy Practitioner (VAHTP), Judi believes in the power of the plucked string to affect change whether psychically, emotionally or physically.  All is vibration and music can be a powerful tool for healing.  Science is now corroborating what the ancients practiced.

Judi has taken her harp to the bedside of the ill and dying in hospitals, hospices and private homes, alleviated pain and suffering through her “sonic tonic”, comforted families in the grieving and loss of their loved ones, and has brought joy and peace in many a difficult situation through the harp.

Judi’s background is in both Education (BA, University of Massachusetts) and Music (Performance, Berklee College of Music).  She has taught in the public schools and currently teaches harp and piano privately out of her studio in Duxbury.  She can also be found at the Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe leading weekly sing-alongs.

Judi travels throughout the state teaching and conducting seminars and workshops on harp and its healing properties.  She will speak on and demonstrate the harp’s unique therapeutic qualities. http://jubalharp.com/home/

Since 1993, the Didgeridoo has brought Vermonter Pitz Quattrone around the world passing on his passion and knowledge of this ancient Australian Aboriginal wind instrument.  In the past year, Pitz has been teaching sleep apnea patients how to play Didgeridoo as a way to reduce apnea episodes.  Today Pitz will be demonstrating how to get sounds from the Didge.  Basic drone, classic nature sounds and circular breathing will be touched upon.”  www.pitzquattrone.com

Steven Shaw Scuderi and Robin Hanbridge have been making music together for years. Steven has a collection of Tibetan singing bowls that he plays at a variety of events in Vermont and Robin has been making, selling, and giving lessons with the didgeridoo for 12 years. Robin makes his didgeridoos out of local Vermont wood: white birch, maple, elm, and basswood. He started using the didgeridoo for music therapy to calm and quiet his mind for meditation and to slow down the brain waves and body systems. Robin and Steven give meditation workshops using the didgeridoo and Tibetan singing bowls in Burlington Vermont.

 PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

Sound healing is rapidly becoming a most popular and respected healing modality, simply, because it works.  Andrew Weill, MD, suggests it will be ‘the next yoga,’ meaning it will be used as commonly for wellness and healing as the many forms of yoga we see all around us today.  Using sound to restore wellness, balance and harmony, awaken heightened states of awareness, voicing devotional chant to attune to the mystical, indigenous shamanic healing and journeying, intentional prayer, incantation, and affirmations, all have been used, understood, and accepted for the power and insight they bring, since the dawn of humanity.  The new and growing field of bioacoustics, incorporating technology into the study of sound and its effects on living organisms, brings science directly into the equation, with growing evidence to support the power and use of sound in its many forms.  Science, also, is developing specific technologies to enhance the use of sound, from medical applications, to hemisphere synchronization, balancing hearing and learning disorders, and psychoacoustic therapies.

Join with leading practitioners and educators in the field of sound healing to experience a weekend of healing and learning

Come, experience, and learn from the expertise of these powerful presenters, sharing with us The Power of Sound!
