~Fix All of Your Attention upon the One True Source of Being~
All Else is Entanglement
                                                  ~ Hindu teaching

"That which you seek, is not outside of you!
'Healing' means 'wholeness.'
'Wholeness' means 'holiness.'
(see Webster's Dictionary, root meanings.)
To heal is to find one's wholeness.
To find one's wholeness, is to find one's holiness."
                                                                ~
Zacciah Blackburn

As Buddha said: “What you are is what you have been, what you will be is what you do now.”
Padmasambhava went further: “If you want to know your past life, look into your present condition;
if you want to know your future life, look at your present actions.”

                                  --SOGYAL RINPOCHE

As long as there is an ego, there are demons.
When there is no more ego, There are no more demons either!
                                            --Machig Labdrön (Tibetan Nun)

Whatever you do, don’t shut off your pain; accept your pain and remain vulnerable. However desperate you become,
accept your pain as it is, because it is in fact trying to hand you a priceless gift:
the chance of discovering, through spiritual practice, what lies behind sorrow.

“Grief,” Rumi wrote, “can be the garden of compassion. If you keep your heart open through everything,
your pain can become your greatest ally in your life’s search for love and wisdom.”

SOGYAL RINPOCHE

"We can look at the destitution around us and chastise others or live in hopelessness,
or we can fix our attention upon the one true source of being,
and realize only we can bring about the change we seek, by embodying it, ourselves."

The path to becoming a healer, is the path to our own healing.

--Zacciah

As long as we imagine negativity in the world, there shall be....
                                                                                              --Zacciah

The teachings tell us what it is we need to realize, but we also have to go on our own journey, in order to come to a personal realization.
That journey may take us through suffering, difficulties, and doubts of all kinds, but they will become our greatest teachers.
Through them we will learn the humility to recognize our limitations, and through them we will discover the inner strength and fearlessness
we need to emerge from our old habits and set patterns, and surrender into the vaster vision of real freedom offered by the spiritual teachings.
                                                                                                                                     SOGYAL RINPOCHE

Although your external circumstances may vary, your practice of exchanging yourself for others should not be dependent on that.
It is very simple: if your situation is right, breathe that out to the world; if your situation is wrong, breathe that in, taking it on yourself.

CHOGYAM TRUNGPA RINPOCHE

"Growth is not when you don't mess up again. It's when you mess up at a higher level."
                                                                                                                        -- Marianne Williamson

When we realize the unending natural mind is the very nature of the Lama,
Then there is no need for attached, grasping, or weeping prayers or artificial complaints,
By simply relaxing in this uncontrived, open, and natural state,
We obtain the blessing of aimless self-liberation of whatever arises.

--DUDJOM RINPOCHE

Lifetimes of ignorance have brought us to identify the whole of our being with ego.
Its greatest triumph is to inveigle us into believing its best interests are our best interests, and even into identifying our very survival with its own.
This is a savage irony, considering that ego and its grasping are at the root of all our suffering.

Yet, ego is so terribly convincing, and we have been its dupe for so long, that the thought that we might ever become egoless terrifies us.
To be egoless, ego whispers to us, is to lose all the rich romance of being human, to be reduced to a colorless robot or a brain-dead vegetable.

                                                                                                                       -- SOGYAL RINPOCHE

Die to the Living Consciousness.
                                                                        -- Hat'or, via Zacciah's inner guides
establishing guidance upon the path to full awakening

You just don't get it.  You could have all the power in the world.
All you have to do is die.
-- Jesus, in Jesus Christ Superstar
                                                               speaking to his disciples

(not an exact quote, but this is the gist of it!)

Taking impermanence truly to heart is to be slowly freed from the idea of grasping,
from our flawed and destructive view of permanence, from the false passion for security on which we have built everything.
Slowly it dawns on us that all the heartache we have been through from grasping at the ungraspable was, in the deepest sense, unnecessary...

It may take a long time for the extent of our foolishness to sink in, but the more we reflect, the more we develop the view of letting go.
It is then that a complete shift takes place in our way of looking at everything.

                                                                                           -- SOGYAL RINPOCHE

From the Dhammapada (Buddha's sacred teachings)
One is not an Elder because one's head is gray.  Many are ripe in years, but called elder for nothing.

The one embodying truth and Dharma, harmlessness, restraint, and commitment, who is steadfast and undefiled, this one is called an Elder.
Though someone's face is handsome, and his words flow easily, do not consider him a man of distinction if he is jealous, mean, and brutish.
Those whom have destroyed these traits, uprooted them and thrown them out--they are the faultless and wise. These are the ones of distinction.
A monk is called a man of peace, "One Who Cultivates Virtue," because he quiets all wrong-doing, both gross and subtle.
Whoever has gone beyond good and evil, but acts with perfect purity while passing through the world, such a one is called a monk.
--Endowed with the Dharma, the Dhammapada

The gifts of the Four Directions

Many of us feel the need for such healing at this time within ourselves, within each other, within the Planet.  Healing requires our intentional participation and commitment to the path of Healing.
We have found in our work, these gifts, which create in the archetypal realm, four elements of Healing, composing a never ending circle/spiral of healing, within us, for each other, within the Planet:

Forgiveness creates Healing

Healing creates Gratitude
Gratitude creates Compassion
Compassion creates Forgiveness
                                                                             -- Zacciah

Whatever thoughts and emotions arise in meditation, allow them to rise and settle, like the waves in the ocean.
Whatever you find yourself thinking, let that thought rise and settle, without any constraint.
Don’t grasp at it, feed it, or indulge it, don’t cling to it, and don’t try to solidify it. Neither follow thoughts nor invite them;
be like the ocean looking at its own waves, or the sky gazing down on the clouds that pass across it.

You will soon find that thoughts are like the wind; they come and go.
The secret is not to “think” about the thoughts but to allow them to flow through your mind,
while keeping your mind free of afterthoughts.

                                                                             -- SOGYAL RINPOCHE

There is another Road
As our nation, and the world, contemplate recent events, let us contemplate, and hold close to us, the essence of compassion, reverence for, and the value of human life.  While others may not act with these values, let us assure we do not step into the same loss of value in our own actions.
                                                                                  --Zacciah

I am loved, I am love
Hold this mantra in your heart for several minutes a day, or have a friend repeat it "You are loved, you are love," for several minutes, moving about you, while you are seated comfortably, whispering it in your ear.
Or, whispering these four phrases in random order, and with
random movements about you:
"  '__your name__'  is love,
     "      "     is loved,
     "      "    are love,
         "      "    are loved."

We beseech you to step into your roles as spiritual masters.
A wondrous world of new possibilities awaits you ~ the Hathors  (via Tom Kenyon)

Sacred Spirit holds you as a most precious and dear soul, essential to the evolution of this Earth.

Stay in the Heart
Hold Gratitude
Holding a coherent state of reverence, appreciation, gratitude, in the heart center, can move us beyond the many challenges and conflicts we may be faced with in life.

Thoughts of the Solstice season:

Remember the reflective nature of the season,
the return of Light to the New Year.  How can you help to restore balance and authenticity to the world this year?
We wish our blessings upon you and those close to you.

 Prayer of St. Theresa

May today there be peace within
May you trust your highest power
that you are exactly where you are meant to be....
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that
are born of faith
May you use those gifts that you have received,
and pass on  the love that has been given to you....
May you be content knowing you are a child of
God.... Let this presence settle into our bones, and allow your
soul the freedom to sing, dance, and to bask in the sun....

It is there for each and every one of you....

Is my essence belonging to my being.
                                               ---the Council/TN

Focus your attention on those things that offer well being.

If you can't find it, IMAGINE IT.
                                                      ----Abraham/EH

If you are noticing more and more constriction (anxiety, pressure, frustration, etc.) or expansion in your life, or potential for either one, be aware of this:
The time is coming where our choices are the most profound creator of all in our life.  (It has always been this way, but the amplification of energies is making it more immediate and direct.)

Energies about the earth are truly amplifying, and we are all being called to examine our path and choices that bring us to clarity and joy or frustration and depression.  Take time to notice and understand this connection between choices and outcome, allow those you are close to and work with to understand this time, and that those situations that bring them to one or the other require more and more conscious choice for connection and communion (and allow your own understanding of this to give you a wider berth of understanding and forgiveness for those close to you who may not be able to make the best choices....)
This is the path to creation, to joy, and abundance in all aspects of our lives, and the path to the healing of this sacred Earth, and all its people.

Blessings on your path, and in your choices....

                                                                                                              -----Zacciah

We are not held back by the love we didn't receive in the past, but by the love we not extending in the present.
                                      ----Marianne Williamson

Keep your thoughts positive because your thoughts become your words.
Keep your words positive because your words become your behaviors.
Keep your behaviors positive because your behaviors become your habits
Keep your habits positive because your habits become your values.
Keep your values positive because your values become your destiny.
