Transglobal is an extraordinary group of artists with stylistically diverse backgrounds. Drawing from their collection of over 300 instruments the group generates an exciting flavor of music synthesizing influences from around the world.
Their music is composed of traditional world rhythms, cross-cultural melodies and creative  textures. This is expressed through both contemporary electric and acoustic ethnic instruments (percussion, keyboard, guitar, bass, wind instruments, and vocals).

About NESHRI   
The New England Sound Healing Research Institute
(NESHRI) is a worldwide network of sound healers with the goals of sharing experience and knowledge, coordinating workshops and educational programs, and conducting informal and formal research into the effects of sound and music on healing, and building community.

NESHRI has a growing membership, worldwide, with benefits including practitioner/directory listings on our web site, web pages (soon available), article publications, event listings and publications, event discounts, and more.  One of NESHRI's primary goals is to further research into the nature and effectiveness of sound healing modalities.  We will be assisting members in creating and participating in research opportunities.  Membership currently costs $35/year, and benefits include discounts at NESHRI and supporter programs, submission at our web site of events, news, and articles, and more.  Individual web pages are available for members for an additional $20 fee.

To register, you may call, fax, or mail us, at NESHRI, c/o the Center of Light, with your name, contact, and credit information or mail your check or money order, with applicable fees.  You may print out a registration form here (not yet available.)

Please insure you provide us with your name, address, phone, email contact, no matter your method of registration.

Any charges will appear on your credit/debit card billing statement as  “Sunreed Instruments”, a partner company to The Center of Light.  

We accept MasterCard, Visa, and American Express credit or debit cards for payment,
as well as check or money orders, or cash. 

(You may also send postdated checks for the early registration discount deadlines.)
Vermont residents may qualify with VSAC (Vermont Student Assistance Corporation) for adult education financial assistance or grants in career training (contact vsac.org.)  Agencies in your home state may also offer adult education financial assistance. 
(We will be glad to assist with information for those agencies.)
Volunteer assistants are needed, which can qualify for a reduction in fees.

Registration is a commitment to attend and to follow all guidelines and policies regarding this program, including taking personal liability for any harm, or damage, to persons or property while attending said program.  Payment in full is due at time of registration to reserve space.  Registration is open until program is full.  We will not cash a check, nor charge your credit card account, if space is not available, and we will contact you regarding a possible wait list.  A refund, less a $30 administrative fee, may be requested up until 20 days prior to the program.  Refunds are not given after that time.  Credit toward future programs may be extended at the discretion of NESHRI staff.  If a program is cancelled, due to inclement weather, or for any other reason, a full refund will be made.  NESHRI staff will make such decisions, and NESHRI, the Center of Light, and their staff, shall be held harmless in case of cancellation.

The church building is a completely accessible meeting house with a handicapped ramp on the side, Center St. 
Please enter, otherwise, through the Main Street doors for registration, and attendance.  Your registration materials will be waiting for you at the conference, if prepaid, to cut down on registration time at the door.  A registration badge is needed visible at all times for attendance at the conference.

Directions & Parking
First Churches is located in the center of Northampton, just one block NW of the main intersection of downtown, Pleasant/King Streets (Rt 5) and Main Street (US Rt 9), at 129 Main St. 
Northampton is located less than 20 miles north of Springfield MA, on I-91, exit  18, US Rt 5, Northampton.  Take Rt 5 North, Pleasant St., 1.1 miles to Main St, Rt 9 West; turn left, go one block, church is on right.
From North, Northampton is approx 15 miles south of Greenfield, MA.  Take Exit 20, Rts 5 & 10S, King St. continue straight 1.7 miles to Main St, Rt 9/10, turn right, go one block, church is on right.
From Points East and West, check maps.  Intersection of major highways I-90 (E/W) and I-91 (N/S) is 15 minutes south.

Municipal parking lots and garage are located behind either side of Main St.  Extensive lots and garage exist to the south side of main street, behind the Thorne's Market complex.  The church building is a completely accessible meeting house with a handicapped ramp on the side, Center St.

MEALS
Northampton is a thriving cultural center with excellent craft and art galleries, boutiques, and world class restaurants, literally just outside our conference doors.  Currently no meals are arranged for the conference on site.  We will notify registrants if this changes.  Full kitchen facilities are available for those with special diet, as long as you are self responsible for cleanup, etc.  Some snacks, teas, coffee, will be provided, for minimal cost.

Accomodations - Hotels, motels, Campgrounds

NESHRI has arranged a number of rooms at motels approx. 15-20 minutes from site.  Major college events have taken most rooms in the region.  We highly recommend early registration.

The following sites have rooms reserved in the name of NESHRI.
Most are non smoking, double, queens, though some are king, some are smoking.  Various rates may apply for up to 4 persons/room, many have rollaways for add'l guests/room.  If you wish a roommate, ONCE YOU HAVE BOOKED A ROOM, call us, and we shall keep a list for one referal per person, to send you the name of a roommate also asking.  We cannot "shop around" for roommates for you, etc...thank you for understanding.  Rooms are reserved under NESHRI, w/ confirmations c/o Zacciah Blackburn.  You must give your name/credit card in order to hold the room, or the reservation shall be lost.

Volunteers Needed
NESHRI is a volunteer organization, and your help is appreciated. We need volunteers to assist with boosting our membership, hosting fundraising events, writing articles, and finding research grants and research opportunities, such as in hospitals or holistic centers. We are working together to raise awareness about the power of sound and music in healing and building community. The NESHRI family is growing!  We will also be looking for a number of volunteers for our next conference to assist in planning, admin, doorkeeping/ticketing, and general overall conference assistance, in exchange for attendance.  Please let Zacciah know if you are interested.
