THE SACRED MASCULINE:
A MEN'S EMPOWERMENT RETREAT with Zacciah

This will be a most enlivening, enriching, revealing, and empowering week with our brothers.
It is time for our men to step forward in Community.

Much is being written and said about men and masculinity in this time of "No More."
Our story, as men, has too often been written by poor examples of
manhood, who are wounded warriors or men who do not stand in their
truth or essence, of the spirit of the true Sacred Masculine, much less
in balance or honoring of their full self, including the intuitive,
heartfelt, open and receptive aspects of our manhood. Often
they are suffering in their own wounds and afflictions, and cannot see
the affliction they cause others. The psyche of the wounded male
is bringing us to the brink of extinguishing life as we know on this
Sacred Earth, in part, because they cannot honor or value the Sacred
Feminine, much less their own sanctity as men or human beings.
We can hold them in compassion, but must discover the richer aspects of
our own selves which we hold in dignity and wholeness, and bring those
forward in our every day lives and actions.
This is something greatly needed in our society.
But, as you know, as men, it is perhaps even more needed.
We
have been sorely lacking for true understanding of our nature and how
to reach or express it, as well as having good role models, guidance, a
sense of belonging in a greater community.

On this Father's Day, I am offering two articles about the Sacred
Masculine. I send thanks to those Fathers who have done so much,
and given us so much. I pray more of our Fathers, brothers,
uncles and sons can recognize and honor their place, and their role in
this world, and assist us all to bring balance and restoration, through
our responsibility as men, to discover and embody the Sacred Masculine
within us, and hold or re-establish this in right relationship, in
balance and restoration with the Sacred Feminine, within, and without,
throughout ourselves, our culture, and our planet.
PLEASE
SHARE THIS with others whom you feel might benefit, or who might wish
to join us in this upcoming sacred retreat, the first I have offered
solely for men.
Perhaps a gift, a thought, a prayer, for your Fathers in the world...

Who are we as Men?
Where are our role models which show us the way to be Male in our society?
We may have many, but there is so much more needed.
We, as a culture, are lost in the history of the Wounded Male.
It is the wounded male that has caused disruption in our families and
societies. It is the wounded male that negates the wisdom, the power
and beauty of the Feminine, in all her forms and levels of being, from
gender inequality and spousal & sexual abuse, to neglect of the
Earth and abuse of her resources, to demeaning the quality of the
intuitive and emotional aspects of ourselves, as well as the wisdom of
the Wisdom cultures based in the ancient arts of inner knowing and
right relationship with the Living Cosmos.
We, as men, must be brave enough to face our wounds and shadows,
our mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, and every one else who caste
shame or humiliation on us if we stand up in a place of balanced power
and compassion. Let us find ourselves, stand steady in our inner voice
of integrity and nurturance, and lend a hand to others still struggling
to find their voice, their greater Selves.
We
as men must re-determine the natural state of the Sacred Masculine, the
intimate power and beauty which resides within us, and re-claim it in
balance and harmony with the Sacred Feminine, in her many forms,
and re-claim our manhood with this inner knowing and wisdom balancing
and guiding our choices and actions in life, more in balance and
harmony with the wisdom of Creation, and the pulse which resides within
All Life, and moves through each of us, inter-weaving the connections
of the Web of Life, through which we all are connected and honored.
