Nzuni – The Sound of Creation with Maestro Thaayrohyadi

In this class we will explore Nzuni, the cosmic origin of the fundamental sounds of the Atlantean Culture – the Civilization of Silence. As the guardians of sound, we recognize that even silence has a sound. If you could slow a sound down it actually consists of silence intervening with sound. Think of the sound of corn when touched by the wind. Think of the sound of dawn when the day begins.

The beginning of the end of movement in the universe is the spiral. This is not only a line; it is a geometrical form that imparts movement and sound. The conch shell is representative of the spiral, the sacred symbol we use to send sound to the four directions – to the heart of the sky, the heart of the earth, the heart of the people, and to our humanity – to align with Nzuni, the Sound of Creation.

Saruah Benson is unable to attend Friday workshops due to personal reasons.

Kevin Michael
My journey has included being the father of two children, both grown now.  I worked in the computer industry for many years as a systems analyst. Prior to that I spent four years in the Navy. Bewildered, I responded to the call of my Higher Self in 1987
(at that time I could not have told you what was happening!). So I began the inner work necessary to prepare me for the service work I do now. My principle teacher is Sathya Sai Baba in India. As I have experienced it, there is only One Consciousness. We are all part of The One.

World Service Puja

World Service Puja is performed in three parts.

1.) Purification
Here we use Sacred Sound for purification of our awareness.
2.) Offering the Rose
Here the individual dedicates themselves to this act of service.

3.) Activation
Here the group forms a ‘lens’ of intention. Like sunlight through a magnifying glass, the highest available spiritual energies are focused first to energize personal intention.

Having thus addressed immediate desires, we freely offer ourselves in service to focus Divine Will. We do so realizing that Divine Will is not known to us. We do so as an act of surrender, a gift of Love.

John Beaulieu, N.D., Ph.D.,

As the founder of BioSonic Enterprises, he has developed and distributed over 50 different sound healing-related products including tuning forks, instructional videos, audio programs, CDs and books. Dr. Beaulieu is the groundbreaking author of Music and Sound in the Healing Arts and the composer/producer of Calendula: A Suite for Pythagorean Tuning Forks, a CD designed to physically align your body and create a deep relaxed state of awareness. He lectures and performs
worldwide and conducts training seminars for practitioners in the healing arts.  Dr. Beaulieu will be teaching the nature and use of sound healing techniques from within this diverse background.

Using Voice, with Intention,
The use of voice in personal and therapeutic setting, channelling sound and light in healing therapies, the power, purpose, and use of intention

Amrita Cottrell
Amrita, is the founding director of The Healing Music Organization. In May 1999, she was diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time in two years. She entered a shamanic journey into the spirit realm, trusting her own process as teacher and healer. With no handbook, teacher or physician to guide her, she entered a world of intuition and trust. She followed her own spirit essence and inner knowing to an astonishing experience of eradicating the cancer within two months by using sound, breath and emotional release. Amrita teaches at the California Institute of Psychoacoustics and Vox Mundi Project in the San Francisco Bay area of California.

The Crystal Chalice
Expand your experience of sound’s power to balance and heal body, mind and spirit. Crystal singing bowls bring ancient and futuristic sound qualities through their potent and other worldly tones that touch you at very deep levels. When combined with the practice of spontaneous toning the sound becomes a virtual symphony of pure healing tones that massage you from the inside out. Amrtia plays the crystal singing bowls with impressive skill; her voice becomes transparent; the music is like a sonic universal mandala taking you to deep levels of consciousness, where you can access the healer within.

Planetary Harmony – Healing Mother Earth with Sound

According to a prophecy revealed by the Otomí Elder Sages to the Indigenous Peoples and all humankind, the day when the sounds of 8,000 Sacred Drums join together will be the beginning of the true healing of our Mother Earth. This day has come. It is time to organize ourselves to rearrange the violence that is being generated by war. This violence is affecting earth patterns. Sound and earth changes are connected; there is a movement in relation to Mother Earth and what is happening with the magma, earthquakes, and the shifting of underground plates. Sound healers are being called to weave a web of healing sound that encircles the earth, creating a matrix of possibility and harmony.

Michael O'Leary
Michael O’Leary is a spirit singer, chant creator/leader and shamanic practitioner with a special interest in song-doctoring, the use of received-song for healing. Michael came to singing in mid-life, having been one of those people who didn't think they could sing, and now singing is (almost) his life, both as a song-leader and performer. He currently facilitates a weekly song circle called SoulSong in Gloucester, MA and leads chant and spirit song circles at community gatherings and yoga, spiritual and healing centers. He is a graduate of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies three-year program in shamanism and shamanic healing and has practiced spirit singing with Saruah Sarah Benson of the Earth Sound Light Center and Shawna Carol of the Way of Song Center.

Song-doctoring:
Song-doctoring is the use of "received song" for healing, growth and guidance. Songs are received from Spirit by means of either shamanic journeying or spirit singing. This workshop will be both a sharing of songs by Michael and a teaching of the work to participants. It is helpful, but not necessary, for participants to have experience in shamanic journeying.

  Darrell Brann RPP RCST LMT

Registered Cranial Sacral Therapist; Registered Polarity Practitioner; Licensed Massage Therapist and Classically trained musician; the harmonic work I have developed for healing is my own creation.

Harmonics of Healing/Harmonics of Ascension
Harmonics are the keys to opening the chakras (petals) which will raise an individual's vibration/frequency. Once that happens, the individual will pass through the dimensions to higher states of being and ultimately ascend or reach union with the Supreme

Dagen Julty
DAGEN JULTY is a professional infant and children’s entertainer going by the name of “Happy Dan the Music Man.”  He offers workshops in Sacred Clowning in which both silent and non-verbal communication are essential.  As a performing musician and music teacher, Dagen has developed a key sense of sound, tone and harmony and its role in communicating intimate and complex emotions.

NON-VERBAL COMMUNICATION:
We interact with our world through words.  We express specific needs as well as abstract feelings through the power of our speech.  We rely on our vocabulary to define, to explore and to protect ourselves in an unpredictable world.  Rarely do we use the vast array of vocal soundings naturally available to us to express anything other than extreme emotions of shock, pleasure or pain.  In this workshop we will learn to get back in touch with our most primitive nature by releasing our emotions and ideas through the expressive palate of our non-verbal mind – a  mind that already has a stronghold in our identity from those early years before we grappled with language.

Their music is composed of traditional world rhythms, cross-cultural melodies and creative  textures. This is expressed through both contemporary electric and acoustic ethnic instruments (percussion, keyboard, guitar, bass, wind instruments, and vocals).
