Attunements and Initiations with Sacred Sound
~experiential

Sacred sound is one way of defining the nature of whom we are as vibrational beings.  Sound, vibration, is the nature of Creation.  When we attune to our own sacred nature, and voice this in resonance with clarity and trust, we come into contact with our very essence.  Zacciah uses sound coupled with sacred intention to invoke the essence of higher being.  This allows us each to enter more readily into a sacred space, more ready to explore the deeper nature of ourselves, and relationship to that which we personally hold as sacred.  We will have the opportunity to experience, and sound from the heart, our essence.

Zacciah Blackburn is a sound healer trained in classical healing and shamanic traditions, and sacred sound cultures, and is practicing in Ascutney, VT, at the Center of Light.  He utilizes sound coupled with sacred intention as a therapeutic tool, for personal healing and transformation.  Zacciah  brings with him a warmth and radiance that exudes through his work.  He invites energies of various sacred cultures to assist us in the work.

Self Healing wth
Pythagoras’s Music of the Spheres
~experiential

In the morning Barbara will present overheads along with playing sacred musical overtones and undertones from the Pythagorean Harmonic Lambdoma Keyboard. This multimedia demonstration will illustrate the the vast interdisciplinary nature of this unique wisdom of healing with specific frequency vibrations based upon the Lambdoma matrix.

In the afternoon, Darrell will discuss and then present his method of working with the Lambdoma Keyboard on one or more volunteers.  He will  tune in to the persons and let his fingers play the undertones (physical) to the overtones (spiritual) while all watch the effects upon the individuals as they go from deep seated fears to joyousness.

Barbara Hero and Darrell Brann
Barbara Hero, artist, composer, mathematician, writer, is the inventor of the Lambdoma Keyboard that is designed to help our well being by calling us to harmony of spirit, mind, emotion and physicality.  She has published articles about the Lambdoma Keyboard's effects on human behavior in the "IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Magazine", the Pavlovian Society's "Integrative Physiological and Behavioral Science Journal."

Darrell Brann is a cranial sacral therapist, a polarity therapist. He has classical training in music and has been performing extensively for many years.  He is a practitioner of other healing therapies. Darrell has been working with the overtone and undertone musical series for a while using a standard synthesizer, and is now working with the Lambdoma Harmonic Keyboard.

Soundscape Journeys, with Bluegate’s Guided Music
Bluegate healing music ensemble performs soulful improvised music that is empowered by the healing intention of the musicians and audience. Guided musicians experience this as “getting out of the way” and letting God (or the Divine, or Spirit) bring in the music that is intended for healing and receiving information. You will experience how divinely inspired music, composed in the moment, can help you tune in to your inner wisdom, gain balance and healing, and find your true path and inspiration, in beautiful musical meditation journeys. Bluegate members chant, tone, and perform on a variety of exotic, indigenous, and classical music instruments, including Celtic harp, piano, flutes, viola, drums, hand percussion, Tibetan bowls, guitar, ud, and didgeridoo.

Bluegate is a group of 4 musicians who create inspired music intended to open the heart to inner transformation. We create an eclectic blend of composed and improvised music, drawing from diverse folk and classical traditions.
A unique attribute of our group is our commitment to merge the performing and healing arts. We are not only composers and performers, but also researchers and practitioners exploring the healing power of sound and music.
Overlighting our interest in health, wellbeing and great music is a love of fun and community. We strive to foster an environment of upliftment and positivity during our live performances and workshops.
We believe that music is the secret language of Soul.

Sound Healing: Discovering Your Voice

Breathe, sing, resonate!  Your voice is a powerful expression of your Divine essence.  In this workshop, you will explore sacred vocal sounds and learn to use your voice for meditation, manifestation and healing.  After tuning into your body and exploring your breath, you will practice such techniques as chakra toning, humming and chanting.  You will cultivate your inner listening and experience the power of combining your sound with an intention.  You will also join with others to create a harmonious blend of voices and to share in the feeling of Oneness that we find together in sound.  This is an experiential workshop that teaches simple yet profound vocal practices.  Participants with all levels of vocal experience are welcome.

Margaret (Meg) Sibley is a Reiki II practitioner and sound healer with a practice based in Arlington, MA.  Meg earned a master of music degree from the Longy School of Music in Dalcroze eurhythmics, a method of teaching music through movement and improvisation.  She also studied voice at Longy, and, since graduation, she has enjoyed singing and teaching voice professionally in the Boston area.  Her exploration of the realm of vocal sound includes the study of osteophonie with Lisa Parker, and the study of sound healing with Jonathan Goldman, Zacciah Blackburn, and Bhavani Lorraine Nelson.  In her healing practice, Meg combines her gifts of healing touch, sound, and intuition to create a unique modality.  She also teaches playshops and individual voice lessons with the intention of creating space for others to discover personal power, well-being and connectedness through song and sacred sound.

Sounding with Intention
Intention is the creative force behind everything we do.   By coupling sound with conscious intention, we amplify the power of our work manifold.  Join Zacciah, learning simple techniques, focusing intention in conscious work, channelling sound and light energies, and amplifying them through sacred geometries,  which assist in creating powerful fields of energy to further our work, in our personal and professional practice.   If time, we will experience a sacred sound attunement with Zacciah.

Song-doctoring:
Song-doctoring is the use of "received song" for healing, growth and guidance. Songs are received from Spirit by means of either shamanic journeying or spirit singing. This workshop will be both a sharing of songs by Michael and a teaching of the work to participants. It is helpful, but not necessary, for participants to have experience in shamanic journeying.

Michael O'Leary is a spirit singer, chant creator/leader and shamanic practitioner with a special interest in song-doctoring, the use of received-song for healing. Michael came to singing in mid-life, having been one of those people who didn't think they could sing, and now singing is (almost) his life, both as a song-leader and performer. He currently facilitates a weekly song circle called SoulSong in Gloucester, MA and leads chant and spirit song circles at community gatherings and yoga, spiritual and healing centers. He is a graduate of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies three-year program in shamanism and shamanic healing and has practiced spirit singing with Saruah Sarah Benson of the Earth Sound Light Center and Shawna Carol of the Way of Song Center.

Exploring the
Song of the Soul
Song of the soul and Lullabies are perhaps the pearls of my experience with
Sound Healing...precious gifts I received very early in my journey with Sound
Light and Love.  They have remained strong and paramount through the years - oh
yes, at least thirty, traveling this good road.  We will experience these
modalities internally, with another, with the group and with our own unique Song
of the Soul, rising from the depths of our being.  Many have connected to
their soul path of sound healing through this experience in the safety and
gentleness of Saruah’s ancient lineage.

Saruah Sarah Benson is a Sound Healing Guide, musician, and poet of the soul.
She has been exploring sound, consciousness and healing for over thirty
years, sharing her music and wisdom in this country and abroad.  Saruah is the
creator of Source Sound Soul Energetics, a fusion of sound healing, expressive
therapies, and soul integration.  She has released many tapes, CDs, several
books of prose and guides students enrolled in the expressive therapies at Lesley
University in Cambridge, MA, Omega Theater and Transpersonal Drama Therapy in the Boston area.

Saruah is cofounder of Earth Sound Light Center in Charlemont, MA, is a teacher of teachers and maintains her connection with Source, Mother, Child and Earth.

Drum Meditation Circle
Bluegate master percussionist Kem Stone will facilitate a drum meditation circle. During this time, we will concentrate on using rhythms as a focusing device to achieve a deep meditative space. Participants will experience how middle-eastern rhythms and sacred rhythmic ratios effect inner change.
Participants are encouraged to bring small hand or frame drums.

Kem Stone MM Ed
Percussionist for the Bluegate healing music ensemble. Music educator, sound healer, composer, workshop facilitator and audio engineer. Kem has forty plus years experience in music performing, recording, and teaching. Kem is an expert workshop facilitator and sound healer. The essence of Kem’s drumming is rooted in a of long history of spiritual traditions from cultures around the world.

The Cymatron Sound Healing Table: Cymatics and Sacred Geometry
This lecture will introduce you to concepts of cymatics and the five platonic solids and sacred geometry.  The combination of these are used for sound healings with the Cymatron Sound Table.
The Cymatron Sound Table gives you a gentle cellular musical massage. The components of the table vibrate the main platform causing the specific frequencies of the sounds to bathe the body in vibration.  The addition of the sacred geometric structure called the dodecahedron expands the consciousness so you will descend into a deep state of relaxation and stress reduction. The Cymatron facilitator assists the client to experience deep relaxation and inner peace.

Maureen Spencer, M.Ed., R.N., is the Founder of Finding Inner Peace, a holistic nursing practice.
Maureen has a diverse background in complementary therapies with training in Therapeutic Touch, Magnified Healing, Quantum Touch, Sound Energy Dynamics Tuning Forks, Vibroacoustic Sound Healing, Clinical Aromatherapy, Certified Yoga Teacher and Reiki Master/Teacher.
She is the coordinator of a nationally approved Yoga Teacher Certification program,

Brief Drum Circle, followed by Community Group Healings  /
Earth Healing Ceremonies
Join us as we begin an evening exploration into the power of intention and sound.  Beginning with group drumming, calling in the energies of our ancestors and allies, we will move toward individual healings within the group circle**, followed by sacred sound attunements and initiations, remembering deeper aspects of ourselves, standing in our power, balancing the sacred feminine and masculine within ourselves, and calling upon, and anchoring, energies of the upper realms, here, within the Earth, to assist in our evolution, and transformation, personally, and collectively.

**We will use some time to have group members supported by the rest of the group circle, experience the healing power of voice, bowls, and other instruments, in intuitive sound healings.
