Directions
Directions to Center of
Light, Ascutney, VT, Hidden Glen Road, off Rt 5, south of the village
of Ascutney:
From all points north or
south,
S.VT, CT, all points of MA except north shore of Boston and some
additional NE regions, southern NY, NJ, etc: find your best route to
Interstate 91 which roughly migrates along the CT river through all of
New England.
North shore and NE MA, NH, Northern/Central VT: most routes best
served via I-89 or I-91.
For some parts of NH, or NY and western/southwestern VT, ask for
assistance for best routes to Springfield VT and/or I-91, or Ludlow, VT
area and Rt 106 to Rt 131 to Ascutney. We can help with specifics
there.
For Canadians, usually from Burlington, VT area, I-89 to I-91, or
Sherbrooke area down I-91.
Once in Vermont, take
Interstate 91 North or South to Exit 8, Ascutney, near mile marker 52.
(This is 40 minutes N. of
Brattleboro, VT, 20 minutes S. of White River Jct, VT/W.
Lebanon, NH, and I-89 Jct from Concord, Manchester, NH, or Burlington
VT, areas, etc.)
Exit east, toward
Ascutney, Claremont, NH, Ct. River, Rt 5;
Go 1/4-1/2 mile east; at
the light (only light in town,) Rt 5, turn right, South;
Go 1/4 mile to Hidden Glen
Rd., on the right, a small dirt road; turn
right.
Go 1/4 mile to the end of
the road;
The Center is the only
house/barn complex at the end of the road.
For individual appointments, park in the driveway. For workshops
and group gatherings, go past the house to the barn
complex. Park here, and come back to the house. If this
area is full, there is a small parking area before the bridge just
before the house, if both areas are full, park in the driveway or along
the road you just approached us at.
