Who are we as Men?
Where are our role models which show us the way to be Male in our society?
We may have many, but there is so much more needed.
We, as a culture, are lost in the history of the Wounded Male.
It is the wounded male that has caused disruption in our families and societies. It is the wounded male that negates the wisdom, the power and beauty of the Feminine, in all her forms and levels of being, from gender inequality and spousal & sexual abuse, to neglect of the Earth and abuse of her resources, to demeaning the quality of the intuitive and emotional aspects of ourselves, as well as the wisdom of the Wisdom cultures based in the ancient arts of inner knowing and right relationship with the Living Cosmos.
We, as men, must be brave enough to face our wounds and shadows, our mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, and every one else who caste shame or humiliation on us if we stand up in a place of balanced power and compassion. Let us find ourselves, stand steady in our inner voice of integrity and nurturance, and lend a hand to others still struggling to find their voice, their greater Selves.
We as men must re-determine the natural state of the Sacred Masculine, the intimate power and beauty which resides within us, and re-claim it in balance and harmony with the Sacred Feminine, in her many forms, and re-claim our manhood with this inner knowing and wisdom balancing and guiding our choices and actions in life, more in balance and harmony with the wisdom of Creation, and the pulse which resides within All Life, and moves through each of us, inter-weaving the connections of the Web of Life, through which we all are connected and honored.
Since I first was called to this work in 1969, I have always felt the kinship and equality of men and women, of the Sacred Masculine and Feminine. In my world, they are, we are, equal and complete.
It is apparent, that is not so in our society and world at large.
Over time, I developed a practice which including teaching the principles I have learned, and carried with me, through the many lineages I carry and teachers I have worked with.
I have always been compelled to work with everyone who sought this path of self realization. I never equated gender to as any condition of any sort in this work. To me, we are all equal, we are all here to become realized spiritual beings.
Yet, it is evident to me, there is more work to do.
I have called this out to my readers, and to the world, over and over, as the Elders and prophecies have told and foretold.
It is time to do the work.
We are in the Time.
We are in a great cycle of transformation with all of humanity.
And in that cycle, I see a lagging for many of us.
And one place of lack I see is where men could stand more as a community in discovery of their true nature, and in support of all aspects of life around us.
I see a special place for more of us as men to stand up and do the work.
I do honor those of us who are and do.
I call upon you, us, as men, to step forward, and deepen our own commitment to this work of personal and planetary healing and transformation. We each have our work to do.
We each have our method.
We each have our place.
But are we doing all we can?
And are we doing all we came here to do?
We, as men, must take our place, in an New Society, a New Earth, that honors, embraces, and embodies the understanding and wisdom that is within the balance of Creation, the Harmonies of nature, at all levels of manifest creation, which co-exist in the equal principles of the Sacred Masculine and Sacred Feminine. As the Sri Yantra expresses through the understanding of the perfect union of Shiva and Shakti, in infinite embrace, manifesting the world in creation, as the Tibetans honor the perfect voice of the Perfect Union of the Enlightened Mind with Wisdom of the Heart (the Heart of Compassion,) so many cultures teach us the nature of the harmonies of life through the expression of the Masculine and Feminine principles of all things.
I see so many women doing the work, and standing up in their place, in their power, and for their rights..
I see many men.
But, men, truly, look around us.
It is time we do our work.
We cannot stand by idly as inequality and injustice continues to fuel our society.
It is time we create a society that honors the Feminine as well as the Masculine.
And, as men, it is time we discover who we truly are, not accepting the roles given us by a society surrendering to the power of wounded men who have governed us and led us in directions close to the annihilation of our species and the planet as whole. These wounded men and their principles have been in power in all aspects of our society, whether it be politics, religion, commerce, family, school, etc.
It is time we recognize the wounds we have carried and too often inflicted upon others, as the Wounded Male, rather than the Sacred Male.
Our society is inflicted with the pain and suffering of the collective psyche of that Wounded Male.
We see it today.
Just look in our politics, in our corporate offices, in our homes, in the broken young men acting out their wounds and suffering and lack of Sacred Male principles evident in the violence occurring in our schools and city streets.
Who are we as Men?
