Meals:
Meals are not included. Please
eat lunch before on Saturday, and bring a lunch on Sunday, or there are not many restaurants close to the retreat center.
Lodging:
Lodging is not included. Search
for local rooms, hotels, motels, or bed and breakfasts in the area.
You may camp on the Yoga Barn Property, ask our host to make arrangements.
This program will offer several
practices to awaken our luminous being, including the most potent
SoulStar Initiations. The powerful transformational vocal
techniques Zacciah utilizes will create a deep transpersonal space
which will enrich most participants' experience beyond normal
meditative practices.
We
shall also enjoy several practices in nature to enhance our abilities
to enter living relations with the living energies of the Earth, and
spirit of the places we work with. These are important tools to
the process of growth, and entering harmonious relationship with All
Life, which elders of most Native Cultures of the Americas suggest are
necessary both to implement these times of Great Transformation and
Awakening, but, also, to insure our safe and sacred passage through
these times.

MEALS AND LODGING
TO BRING:
For your MESA AND our DESPACHO:
The
mesa is an Andean portable altar, much like the N. American Native
Medicine bag. The Despacho is a burnt fire offering to the
Spirits of the Place, and the Earth Mother (Pachamama.)
The mesa
is used to connect, access, carry, store, integrate, move, and transmit
the living energies of places of power, important to you, as well as
lineage transmissions from your elders/teachers, and other aspects of
Peruvian wisdom.
To build a mesa, you will need any of the following items:
A
mesa is typically made from 1 or 2 heavy/woven/colorful cloths,
typically 20"- 30" in width, alpaca/wool, in designs of particular
tribes/nations/peoples...such as below:
Any cloth will do, especially for last minute use!
It may be tied with a cloth rope or belt.
You
can order traditional authentic Q'ero mesa cloths from Zacciah at
$100-150 each. These are directly from the Q'ero, who are
true carriers of the Incan wisdoms, and Zacciah's elders and teachers
in the Peruvian mysteries.
Those who want to use them can also order sets of Chumpi Stones.
Please
bring items for your mesas. Imagine enough items to fill 4-8" in
width/square at most. You do not need to over do it, and, as we work
with our mesas, we can gather stones in our work, which we empower with
our work.
Zacciah will, also, gather sacred stones
(cuyas) to bless with our lineage keeper's stones in his mesa, and pass
out by end of practice, a traditional Karpay (initiatory) practice.
Sacred stones are very important to the Peruvians in this work. They
carry the energy of the place, of the ancestral lineages, of the work
we do.
Bring small objects that have been beneficial to you in
your life....these may be medicine objects, stones, crystals, spiritual
icons, etc; not too many, not too large....
Traveling with
your own 'sacred bundle' is always considered an
empowering act.
We
recommend you do not bring anything that may be crushed, as the mesa is
folded in upon itself to be carried from place to place. A simple
cloth belt can be used to tie it, but this is not necessary due to how
it is folded in upon itself.
We
will, also, work with, palo santo (sacred wood,) and sage, tobacco,
other sacred herbs of North America. If you have any of these, we
encourage you to bring some of each you feel called to learn or work
with. Tobacco will especially be most useful during our outdoor
practices.
To build a Despacho (a burnt fire offering,)
Please bring a small number of any of the following items:
We
will have fire ceremony with a 'despacho' offering, also. If you
have a few parcels of any of these, to add as offerings, it is
helpful: Grains, candies, flowers, herbs, seeds, other small
burnable gifts from the Earth. As we each add to it, not many are
needed. We will have some with us to share, but your own
offerings are most beneficial, and initiates what is known as "AYNI,"
the Law of Reciprocity, very important to Peruvian, and indigenous
understanding, the giving and taking in Harmony with All Life.

We travel with many items we use in sound and healing ceremonies with us, for sale.
Sacred herbs mentioned to the right, will all be available for purchase on site (we gather sacred herbs from
many elders and spritually oriented suppliers,) as will many
Native
American and shamanic drums, rattles, CD's, books, and sacred objects
and tools for sound healing and spiritual practice in general.

 ABOUT ZACCIAH
This
program is facilitated by, Zacciah
Blackburn, PhD, a highly skilled intuiive teacher and
guide in sound healing and esoteric awareness practices for true
awakening of consciousness. He has worked in the field for over 3
decades, offers a 3 year program in therapeutic sound healing
practices, and teaches internationally a variety of esoteric trainings
in consciousness and earth healing practices.
He is Director of Education for the International Sound Healing
Network, and a working board member of the Sound and Music Alliance..
Zacciah's work has long focused on the emerging transformation of human
consciousness.
This work, The Great Awakening, continues a series of programs
explicit to this new era of awakening
which humanity is entering, with explicit steps to assist in this
personal and collective awakening, long prophecied by many cultures of
the world.
The Great Awakening will
offer keen insight into the nature of this
